JUUL Pods 4-Pack - Virginia Tobacco and Menthol, 3% and 5% Nicotine

These are the sealed, pre-filled pods the JUUL Device runs on. A pack holds 4, and you pick one flavor and one strength per pack: Virginia Tobacco or Menthol, at 3% or 5%. Each pod carries about 0.7mL of nicotine salt e-liquid and gives roughly 200 puffs, so a 4-pack is about 2.8mL and 800 puffs in total.

Key fact: 5.0% is 59 mg/mL and 3.0% is 35 mg/mL nicotine by weight. Same e-liquid, same flavor, different strength.

What comes in a pack

4 sealed JUUL Pods, one flavor and one strength per pack. Nothing to fill and no coil to change. You slide a pod into the device, take a draw, and bin the pod when the flavor fades.

Virginia Tobacco versus Menthol

Two flavors, and JUUL describes them plainly. Virginia Tobacco is a rich tobacco flavor with earthy notes and a smooth finish. Menthol is a traditional menthol with a brisk finish.

Virginia Tobacco is the one most JUUL owners buy. Menthol JUUL pods are the colder option, and menthol is the closest authorized flavor to the mint pods JUUL discontinued in 2019.

How much nicotine is in a JUUL pod?

Two strengths, and the number on the pack is nicotine by weight. 5.0% works out to 59 mg/mL, and 3.0% to 35 mg/mL.

5% is the original strength and the one most people start on. 3% delivers a lighter throat hit at the same taste, which is why people stepping down pick it. The flavor doesn't change between the two.

Which devices do these fit?

The original JUUL Device, and nothing else. It's a closed system, so JUUL Pods are the only pods authorized for it.

JUUL2 pods are a separate product and they don't fit. Third-party pods sold as JUUL compatible aren't authorized for the device either, and neither are refillable pods. Check the box says JUULpods before you restock.

Why only these four

The FDA granted marketing authorization to Virginia Tobacco and Menthol JUULpods, in 3% and 5%, on July 17, 2025. Mango, mint, cucumber and crème brûlée were withdrawn in 2019 and never authorized. We wrote up what happened to the rest of the lineup.

Authorization isn't the same as approval. The FDA is explicit that it doesn't mean a tobacco product is safe, and it isn't an endorsement by the agency.
